We all live in a watershed
What is a watershed?
A watershed is any area of land where all water on and beneath the ground including rain, runoff and snowmelt drain to a common water body, for example the grand river.
What we do on our land, impacts our water resources. Sustainable land use and establishing Best Management Practices, particularly on land adjacent to waterways, is key to healthier and more enjoyable rivers, lakes and streams.
