Join Us In
Cleaning Up The Red Cedar River
The Ingham Conservation District and the Michigan State University Fish and Wildlife Club are organizing a cleanup of the Red Cedar River on Saturday October 25, 2008 from 10am until approximately 2pm. We invite all those interested to meet at the Michigan State canoe dock at 10am. The canoe dock is located on the Red Cedar just west of Farm Lane near Bessey Hall.
Free parking is available at most metered spaces during the weekend. Lunch will be provided. This is a great opportunity for natural resource stewardship and community service. We hope you can join us. If you have any questions please call-
Michelle at 517-676-2290

Our Mission
The mission of ICD is to
provide information and technical assistance to private landowners,
local units of government, and local schools to promote effective
management and increase the productivity of natural resources in Ingham
County.
Participation
Through volunteers,
workshops, local, state and national programs and two tree sale
fundraisers, the ICD provides linkages between land users and a host of
conservation providers. The ICD works with land managers, local
governments, and other local interest in addressing a broad spectrum of
concerns: erosion control, flood prevention, water use and
conservation, groundwater, water quality, non-point source pollution,
forestry, wildlife, recreation and community development.
